Hervé you sure do talk about Big Fish a lot!
For the French folks - I think this is typical in the US - people throw old shoes over a wire - not exactly sure why. These have obviously been here a while (plus all the rain we've been having) because they are green with mold!

Lelie - this is a great shot - love the lighting on the shoes!!

Actually, I have been told before that "street gangs" throw shoes over wires to mark their territories. Funny cuz this was shot at a Mellow Mushroom pizza restaurant. Guess they want neighboring gangs to stay away from their pizza!! =)

This is a great picture. I know that in our area where i live, shoes are thrown over the wires as a symbolic way to show that another child has died. Usually this pertains to gang wars etc. I guess you never know, that's why it's a great picture. I stumbled across your sight and i am amazed by all of your pictures.
